Do you have an ear for news? Do you dream of working as a foreign correspondent? In this workshop you will learn to identify, pitch, script, and produce radio news stories, and you'll participate in the creation of a live news bulletin in UOW's state-of-the-art radio studio. Suited for students in Years 9/10 who are passionate about communication, news, and audio production.
Location: University of Wollongong Campus, Building 29 (Jillian Broadbent)
Cost: $25* per workshop or $40 for both.
Who can attend? All students from all regions in Years 9 and 10.
*This price includes a light lunch. Students are expected to bring their own snacks to supplement the lunch.

Have you always dreamt of being on TV? Or maybe you love working behind the camera? In this workshop you'll learn to collaborate in a television studio to produce news stories for a live-streamed television segment. Suited for students in Years 9/10 who are passionate about visual communication and news.
Location: University of Wollongong Campus, Building 29 (Jillian Broadbent)
Cost: $25* per workshop or $40 for both.
Who can attend? All students from all regions in Years 9 and 10.

Parents/carers will submit a registration on behalf of their child by clicking 'Register Now' below. Registration opens Monday 22 July and will remain open until all spaces in the workshops are full. Payment is required upon registration. If we do not receive payment within 48 hours of your registration, your space may be offered to someone on the waiting list. Please read our Refund Policy for further information. Spaces will be filled according to application date. We will reserve a number of sponsored places for students who meet sponsorship requirements. |
