Two mini-lectures on historiographical controversies that continue to generate public debate will be followed by a practical presentation on developing a History Extension project. The session aims to inspire students' ideas for potential projects and provide practical guidance on how to approach them.

Roundtable: Formulating a History Extension Project

UOW historians, experienced history teachers and HSC markers, and previous History Extension students who are now completing history degrees at UOW will discuss how to formulate a project, the challenges associated with the process, and strategies for success. Students will also have the opportunity to hear first-hand advice from recent History Extension graduates. The session will prioritise audience Q&A.

Breakout Sessions: Discover Your Project

During this session we will discuss ideas for projects on Modern or Ancient History and will guide students on the research process. Students will have the opportunity to seek advice on their project ideas in a smaller group setting.
